On-Location: Khym & Sarah

A series of 2 shoots were done today in the hot weather of Penang; the first on-location shoot done in a foreign country.

The first was for a cosplay theme called Natusume Yuujinchou which Sarah took the male lead and Khym took the female lead.  Some shots require me to be in the water but it's the first time I encountered a leech on my toe since I had to be in there barefooted.

After a couple of hours' shoot, switch theme and the gals went back to change into another attire.

The scenery had to be something which compliments the femininity side so I made good use of the garden, the garland of flowers growing around the framework near the entrance as well purplish coloured leaves of waist height bushes.

The shoot was over before dinner and we all headed to Straits Quay for some food and drinks while catching up.

Thanks once again to Khym and Sarah, and Sarah's sister, Hannah for helping out with some of the props!

Floral Theme Shoot@Kampung Buangkok

Kampung Buangkok, the very last standing village in the very urbanised Singapore.

I visited this place once again after 3 years.  This time, thanks to Zech for organising this shoot along with Leonard.

The theme was floral attire in a village setting so we managed to find our way there by foot after a bus journey of about 15ish minutes from Buangkok.

The path was hidden as usual, so I had to take the foot forward to find the exact entrance through some vegetation - there were walkable paths.  Afterall, the jungle and great outdoors are my greatest ally when I'm alone.

Weather started to turn rainy soon after we set up, but we managed to do some shoots with a beautiful flower-adorned gate of a Malay household who were very kind not to chase us away given that it was just outside their humble abode.

The rain turned heavy after a short pause but we still managed to get a final group shot before wrapping up; it was way too heavy for any outdoor shoots. Despite being sweaty, dirty and all the muddy medals I earned from on-location shoots, it's great to learn that everyone had fun.

Thanks to Zech, the wonderful gals, Rynx, Blue, Ten, Xin and the very bubbly Khym for making it possible!
