Lightning Storm of the Night

One of the unusual stormy evenings where the pre rain storm ran for an extened period.

Upon sight of the frequent storms, I quickly set up my phone for a series of shots that lasted for a couple of hours.  As the hand carry shot was too much, I decided to set it up via remote trigger and stood by for the entire series of lightning storms.

After the frequency died down, with a cool wind, I thought that storm had subsided.  Upon a short visual inspection, the ground are wet with rain, hence a sign that the shooting should cease.  All these done in the comfort of my home, where the lightning storm was in visible view.

Mediacorp: Channel U - Scrum! (沖鋒）Preview

This was a private event based on invitation basis and I was fortunate enough to be invited by a friend who is an active blogger in the lifestyle scene.

It was held one of the function rooms where there were refreshments provided too.  As I arrived earlier, I took my seat, where seatings are allocated based on different group of audience.

Host for evening was Jeff from FM Y.E.S. 933.  Following the introduction, the celebrities came onstage to introduce themselves about the show and the roles they are playing in this drama. 









Notable actors include Felicia Chin, Jeffrey Xu and a few budding celebrities including Jae Liew and Carrie Wong.

There was a puzzle game where 2 lucky audiences are selected to be on stage to participate alongside with the celebrities.

Jeffrey had also performed his part by taking the singing of hte opening theme onstage!

Prizes were personally presented by the celebrities themselves including Felicia after the series of games.

A final group shot for all on stage!  We were free to mingle around after the event but celebrities have already made their way off to the next event as there will be a press conference for the entire cast.

Happy birthday Samaara

I had a great time at this birthday event for a client whom I had known for more than a decade; once again he has contacted me to do a shoot for his 2nd child's birthday.

The place was set in an Indian restaurant called Jewel of India which is actually well tucked in a building beside Mustafa Centre.  Personally I had not been to this place and it's a pretty beautiful restaurant indeed.

Food Photography - First Milestone

I decided to do some cooking and have the journey of food photography to be done on a minimalist set-up basis.  For the moment, these are still what I would address as the local, Asian cuisine mixed with variety of simple preparation.

Food Photography trail

Got a word that my self-cooked and photographed fried rice resembles Japanese fried rice when it actually isn't on my Instagram.  This is what I've been doing when I am not wielding my Big Daddy for shoots.

Been on a series of mini food photography personal projects hence I've not written much for the past 'season' (if that's a right word fit).  Let's hope this pulls off to something good.

Happy Birthday Jvann - 1st Birthday

Today's the actual day done for a baby's 1st birthday at their home.  A beautiful baby who has just turned one and this small party is held by the parents for their family and close friends & colleagues.

A beautiful decorated cake lays which is always so tempting to taste too!

With the guidance of his parents, Jvann was able to grasp hold of the knife to cut his very first birthday cake.  A very beautiful and yet simple celebration!
