I had the opportunity to shoot at this school, Makoto Aikido which training was situated in a
quiet town of Cassia. The school shared the same place as the Singapore
Judo Federation which was one of those older buildings which you don't
find many around Singapore.
Considering the studentship size, I have to move cautiously so as not to be hit by the students who were practicing their sparring. A foreign instructor, Simon Puffett was in and was leading the training today.
First half of the lessons were bare hands sparring while the second half were covered with the used of the ken.
Certainly an eye-opener for me as the art was to neutralise rather than an offensive art compared to several martial arts out there. They ended with their celebration as that day happened to be their anniversary.
